Mer Haus of Vanity

Meredith, a professional nanny with a passion for beauty and empowerment, visited the ICON CDC South Valley BusinessSource Center after being referred by a friend. Her dream was to transform her creative vision into a thriving business by launching Mer Haus of Vanity—a Mercedes Glam Van, offering luxury mobile beauty services including makeup, hairstyling, and lash extensions. Her mission is to provide an elevated experience for clients who want to feel confident, glamorous, and cared for wherever they are.

When Meredith first connected with Karla Higuera, BSC Specialist, she was in the early stages of building her Mercedes Sprinter van, which would serve as her mobile beauty studio. The specialist provided one-on-one guidance to help her establish her business foundation, including finding the perfect partner to assist her in establishing her Corporation, obtaining her EIN, and securing her Business Tax Registration Certificate (BTRC) with the City of Los Angeles.

To strengthen her brand presence, Meredith was referred to Google Consultants to set up her online business profiles and to the Los Angeles Public Library’s business services for free logo and trademark support. She also enrolled in the Employment Training Panel (ETP) program to expand her entrepreneurial knowledge and business management skills.

Reflecting on her journey, Meredith shared:

“Behind every achievement, there is a story of effort, adaptation, and perseverance. Starting from scratch in a new place taught me the true meaning of determination. Every challenge became an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to believe that dreams can be built with consistent work and passion. This project represents not only a goal achieved but a reminder that everything is possible when you work with heart. Sometimes the hardest beginnings lead to the most beautiful destinations. I learned that with effort, patience, and faith, dreams stop being an idea and become reality.”

Through ICON CDC’s ongoing support, Meredith has completed her business filings and is now focused on marketing, content creation, and preparing for her business exhibitions and growth. Her story is a powerful reminder that resilience and dedication can turn even the boldest dreams into reality.
