Success Story: Leon Green & Chill N Dogg — Building Wealth, Community, and a Lasting Legacy

Building a Legacy: The Chill N Dogg Story—Fueled by ICON CDC and the LA City Free Cart Program
(Featuring Sidewalk Street Vending Impact Stats for July 2024–June 2025)

After a successful career in the entertainment industry, I was ready to take on a new challenge—one that could build a legacy of generational wealth for my family. I’ve always dreamed of starting a business that would be accessible to anyone, regardless of their background, education, or experience. Chill N Dogg was the perfect fit: not just a hot dog company, but a vision deeply rooted in family tradition.

Hot dogs have always been a specialty in our family. From backyard cookouts to local events, we’ve made it more than just food—it’s a vibe, a culture, and a way to bring people together. That’s why involving my family in the growth of Chill N Dogg has been essential. They are my biggest supporters and the inspiration behind everything I do.

Thanks to the LA City Free Cart Program and the incredible support from ICON CDC, I received a fully equipped cart, along with the necessary certifications and permits to operate legally and successfully. This monumental gesture has been life-changing. With the cart, I’ve been able to hit the ground running, serving up great food, building community relationships, and laying the groundwork for a business with real potential to grow—and even franchise—in the future.

The support I’ve received—whether through training, licensing assistance, or just encouragement—has fueled my motivation to keep going and push past the limits. I feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Currently residing in CD4, I’m excited to continue expanding Chill N Dogg’s presence throughout Los Angeles. The opportunities ahead feel limitless, and I’m grateful to be on this journey with a strong foundation and a supportive community behind me.
