Kicking Off Another Chapter of Entrepreneurship: New ETP Program Launch at ICON
Entrenamiento Para Empresarios (ETP) – Empowering Entrepreneurs in Council District 6
2024–2025 Annual Report Highlights
On July 1st, ICON CDC launched a new cohort of the Entrenamiento Para Empresarios (ETP) program in Council District 6 (CD6), offered in Spanish both in-person and via Zoom. This hybrid format makes entrepreneurial training more accessible than ever for the local community.
Led by Program Director Eric Lara, participants received an overview of the 8-week course and began developing their business plans. The North Valley BusinessSource Center Manager also introduced the group to free support services available for their business journey.
Jorge Rabaso from the Hispanic Network Community inspired the group with insights on vision, determination, and adaptability—key traits for entrepreneurial success.
Over eight weeks, participants will learn about legal structures, financial planning, marketing, permitting, and customer engagement, all aimed at turning their ideas into sustainable businesses.
2024–2025 ETP Annual Report Stats:
4 cohorts offered
197 total graduates (131 females / 66 males)
Hybrid Spanish-language instruction (in-person & Zoom)
ICON CDC is excited to support these new entrepreneurs in Council District 6 and looks forward to their upcoming success stories!
