The Growth of No Cap Arts, Inc.
Jesse Renderos, a multi-talented artist specializing in photography and mural artistry, contacted the South Valley Business Source Center (BSC) seeking guidance on how to turn his creative skills into a formal business. Referred by Imelda Padilla of Council District 6, Mr. Renderos met with Senior Business Advisor Hector Martinez to explore the steps needed to successfully launch and structure his business. During the initial consultation, Mr. Martinez introduced Mr. Renderos to the full range of BSC services and provided guidance on business planning, registration requirements, and available resources. After enrolling with the BSC and confirming City of Los Angeles residency, Mr. Renderos began working closely with Mr. Martinez to develop a clear action plan.
Through comprehensive legal and regulatory support, Mr. Martinez advised Mr. Renderos on various business entity options, outlining the benefits and considerations of each. Based on this guidance, Mr. Renderos decided to incorporate to support liability protection and long-term growth. With BSC assistance, he successfully formed No Cap Arts, Inc., which was approved by the California Secretary of State. The BSC continued to provide hands-on technical assistance to ensure full compliance and a successful launch. Services included obtaining a Temporary Business Tax Registration Certificate (BTRC), securing an EIN, drafting corporate bylaws and initial meeting minutes, and electing S Corporation status with the IRS. As a result, No Cap Arts, Inc. was officially launched and operating in good standing.
To further support growth opportunities, Mr. Martinez also assisted Mr. Renderos with registration in the Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (RAMP), positioning No Cap Arts, Inc. to pursue government contracting and procurement opportunities. Through the dedicated support of the South Valley Business Source Center, Jesse Renderos successfully transformed his artistic passion into a fully launched and compliant business, demonstrating the impact of BSC services in empowering local entrepreneurs.
