Hero Motorsports Secures Microenterprise Grant and Prepares for Continued Growth

For more than 15 years, Katayoon Roshanai has operated Hero Motorsports Inc., an established auto body shop serving the Van Nuys community. In July 2025, Katayoon was referred to the ICON CDC South Valley BusinessSource Center to explore opportunities to strengthen and grow her business. ICON provided hands-on technical assistance tailored to Katayoon’s business needs, including guidance with business compliance, required documentation, funding opportunities, and government resources. As new opportunities became available, ICON assisted Katayoon with the City of Los Angeles Microenterprise Grant #3 and supported her throughout the application process.

ICON’s assistance continued when Katayoon encountered challenges with her RAMP LA registration. The Sr. Business Advisor worked directly with her to complete the process and coordinated with EWDD program staff to review her application and supporting documentation, helping ensure she had the guidance needed to move the application forward. After several months of processing and review, Hero Motorsports was approved for the Microenterprise Grant #3 program and officially awarded.

With this milestone behind her, Katayoon is looking toward new opportunities for Hero Motorsports. She is exploring government contracting and partnerships with larger companies and insurance providers. ICON continues to support her by identifying certifications, contracting opportunities, and other resources that can help position her business for continued growth.
