J&M Auto Body Expands Opportunities Through Contracting and Grant Support
Jessica, owner of J&M Auto Body and a returning client of ICON CDC South Valley BusinessSource Center, reconnected with ICON in September 2025 with a clear goal: to expand J&M Auto Body through government contracting opportunities and work toward becoming a repair service provider for Metro.
Seeking support with navigating the City of Los Angeles contracting process, Jessica turned to ICON for guidance. ICON provided hands-on assistance with setting up and completing J&M Auto Body’s RAMP LA profile, helping strengthen the company’s business summary, showcase its work history, and clearly present past experience to better position the business for future contracting opportunities.
To further strengthen J&M Auto Body’s competitiveness, ICON also guided Jessica through the Women Business Enterprise (WBE) certification process and the Los Angeles Local Business Preference Program (LBPP). She received step-by-step support understanding requirements, preparing documents, and completing applications to help position her business for long-term growth.
Beyond contracting support, ICON connected J&M Auto Body to funding opportunities and provided ongoing assistance throughout the application process. With this support, the business was successfully awarded both the CBO Resiliency Grant and Microenterprise Grant #3. ICON also continued providing follow-up guidance after funding was awarded to help ensure compliance and proper use of funds.
Jessica’s journey with J&M Auto Body demonstrates how continued support and persistence can help small businesses reach the next level. As a returning client, she was able to build on previous guidance and continue expanding opportunities for her business. Her story reflects the power of vision, determination, and partnership.
With ICON’s continued support, J&M Auto Body is now better positioned to compete for government contracting opportunities, strengthen operations, and move closer to achieving its long-term goals. ICON CDC remains committed to supporting entrepreneurs at every stage by providing the tools, guidance, and resources needed to help businesses grow and compete.
