Building Future Entrepreneurs Through Community Partnership

ICON CDC recently launched the first session of its Entrepreneur Training Program in collaboration with El Nido Family Centers and Best Start, bringing together more than 22 aspiring entrepreneurs from across the community who are ready to turn their business ideas into reality.

The workshop marked the beginning of a multi-week journey focused on empowering participants with the knowledge, tools, and confidence needed to start and grow successful businesses. Throughout the session, attendees had the opportunity to learn about important topics such as business licensing and permits, marketing and sales strategies, business management, and access to capital.

The energy in the room reflected the passion and determination of local entrepreneurs eager to invest in themselves and their futures. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions, shared their goals, and began building connections with others on similar entrepreneurial journeys.

By partnering with El Nido Family Centers and Best Start, ICON CDC continues to expand access to free business education and resources for underserved communities throughout the San Fernando Valley. The collaboration represents a shared commitment to creating economic opportunities and helping individuals build long-term stability for themselves and their families.

As the program continues, ICON CDC looks forward to guiding participants through each step of the entrepreneurial process and helping transform ideas into real businesses that can positively impact the community. Through continued mentorship, education, and support, these entrepreneurs are taking the first steps toward building a stronger future for themselves and the neighborhoods they serve.
